Johnny Amos Tate, age 55, of 3703 Roy Farlow Rd., Sophia died Monday, February 23, 2009 at High Point Regional Hospital, High Point.Mr. Tate was born in High Point, NC the son of Cecil Amos and Bonnie Irene Inman Tate. Mr. Tate was a native of High Point. He enjoyed operating his own business and loved to fish, watch Nascar and be with his grandchildren and family. He is preceded in death by his father, Cecil Tate.He is survived by his wife: Peggy Tate, of the home; Son, Johnny Tate, Jr. and his wife, Bobbie of Trinity, NC; daughter, Lisa Roller and her husband, Bobby of Sophia, NC; grandchildren, Jacob and John Tate, both of Trinity, NC; Mother, Bonnie Inman Tate, of Sophia, NC; Brothers, Timothy and Matthew Tate, both of Sophia, NC; Sister, Joyce Brady and her husband, Thomas of FL.; sisters,: Terri Brady and Jeanne Bell, both of Sophia, NC; sister, Wanda Morgan of Aynor, SC; sister, Patricia Wood of Asheboro, NC; sister, Barbara Corrum and her husband, Danny of Franklinville, NC and many beloved nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 25, 2009 from 12:00-1:30 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Whitehall Evangelical Methodist Church, Randleman with Rev. Aaron Robbins officiating. Burial will follow in Whitehall Evangelical Methodist Church Cemetery, Randleman.
