Johnny Maxton Parker

Johnny Maxton Parker, age 63, of 199 Emerald Rock Rd., Asheboro died Sunday, July 17, 2011 at Kindred Hospital, Greensboro. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 11:00 am at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jonathan Hamilton officiating. Burial with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard will follow at Back Creek Friends Meeting. Mr. Parker was a native of Randolph County, an Army veteran of the Vietnam Era and was a former employee of McDowell Lumber Company. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sally Redding, brother, Charles Parker and father, T. H. Parker. He is survived by; son, Tommy Parker and his wife Julie of Asheboro; daughter, Jamie Parker and her husband Bo of Wilson, KY grandchildren, Kendra Parker of Asheboro, Alex Johnson of KY, Ethan Wilson of KY; brother, Joe Parker and his wife Evalee of Durham, sister, Vanessa Robbins and her husband Terry of Asheboro; brothers, Buck Parker and his wife Gail of Randleman, Tim Parker and his wife Jenny of Asheboro, Barry Parker of Asheboro; sister, Terry Parker of High Point. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 20, 2011 from 10:00-11:00am at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro.
