Johnny “John” Delbert Jones, age 79, of Denton passed away on May 25, 2024 at Moses Cone Hospital.

John was born in Long Acre, WV on June 7, 1944 to Hayward and Edith Fridley Jones. John was a business owner and entrepreneur. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his siblings, Betty, Bob, Pete, Sandy, and Jimmy, and niece, Darlene. John was a hardworking, smart, humorous, and tenacious man. He loved to always put his family first and shoot the shit and drink wine.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Jones; children, Bryan Jones (Cyndi), Michelle Jones (Randy), and Scott Jones (Heather); grandchildren, Ashley (Bo), Courtney, Chelby, Kassidy, Alex (Devon), and Kaydence; and 8 great grandchildren, Braxton, Waylon, Annabelle, Willow, and 4 others.

A private service will be held.

Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro is serving the Jones family.
