Johnny "Bug" Ingram, 63, of Asheboro, NC, residing in Linwood, NC, departed this life on September 13, 2014 with his daughters by his side.
He was born in Cheraw, SC to the late General Washington and Mary Frances Ingram. He was preceded in death by his wife Susan Belvin Ingram, one sister Patricia Ingram and one brother Willie Ingram.
He was a truck driver for 44 years. His known handle on the CB was "Nine Speed." He drove for BB Walker Trucking for many years and for RJ Trucking for the last 9 years before his health caused him to come off the road.
Left to cherish his loving memories are: his beautiful mother, Mary Ingram of Asheboro, NC, twin daughters, Anita Hill-Callaway (Chauncey) of Fayetteville, NC, and Bonita Suber (Tony) of Linwood, NC, one son, Johnny Patterson of Jacksonville, AR, two sisters, Mary "Eve" Steele of Greensboro, NC, and Catherine Ingram of Asheboro, NC, one brother, Tony Ingram of High Point, NC, one sister-in-law, Faye Davis of Asheboro, NC, six grandsons, two granddaughters, three great grandchildren, a supportive step-daughter, Linda Jodeh of Winston-Salem, NC, and an honorary daughter Jessica Dean of Asheboro, NC. There is a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 18, 2014 from 12:00-12:45 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and other times at 551 Daisy Rd., Asheboro, NC. Funeral services will follow on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Davis officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Asheboro.
