John Thomas Woodard

John Thomas Woodard, age 65, of 1101 North Main Street, Troy died Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Autumn Care Nursing & Rehabilitation, Biscoe. Mr. Woodard was born December 4, 1946 at Stanly County, NC, the son of Roy Earl and Pallie Catherine Hamilton Woodard. He was a self-employed painter. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Roy Earl Woodard, Jr. He is survived by his wife: Faye Poston Woodard of the home; one daughter: Wanda W. Mabe of Troy; four sons: Tommy Woodard of Troy, Ricky Woodard, Eddie Woodard, both of the home, Randy Woodard of Winston- Salem; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 22, 2012 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy; other times at the home of daughter, Wanda W. Mabe of 1080 Love Joy Road, Troy. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2:00 pm at Hickory Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church, Pekin Road, Candor with Rev. Mark Answorth officiating.
