John Junior Lucas

John Junior Lucas, age 91, of Asheboro died Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Randolph Hospital. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. Mr. Lucas was a native of Randolph County and retired from L-Ranch Furniture. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ottie Glasgow Lucas. He is survived by his daughters, Janet Lucas Tysor and her husband James of Siler City, Linda Tesh of Asheboro, Betty Fipps and her husband Larry of Wilmington; son, Jimmy M. Lucas of Asheboro; grandchildren, Misty Rodriguez of Archdale, Danny York of Asheboro, Christopher York of Robbins, Larry Freeman of Asheboro, Billie Edwards of Wilmington, Loretta Lucas of Mebane, Jennifer Lucas of Fayetteville; great grandchildren, Matthew and Ashlynn Freeman of Asheboro, Shane and Samantha Roberts of Wilmington, Zachery and Dalas Hammonds of Wilmington; sister, Nettie Lucas Young of Burlington. The family will receive friends Friday, January 6, 2012 from 6 to 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro.
