John McCauley "Mack" Lamb, age 91, of 3649 Tom Brown Road, Franklinville, formerly of Heath Dairy Rd., Randleman died Saturday, May 28, 2011 at his home.
Mr. Lamb was a native of Randolph County and a United States Army WWII Veteran. John founded Randleman Heating and Air in 1957 and owned until he retired. He was a member of Bible Truth Baptist Church. John is preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Witcher Lamb, brothers: Bill, Gurney, Woody, and George Lamb; sister: Cora Lanier.
He is survived by daughter: Priscilla Steele of Climax; son: John "Danny" Lamb of Franklinville; daughter: Lori Lamb of Wilmington; grandchildren: Alan Lamb, Carolyn Steele, Bobbie Richardson, Brad Moorefield, Wendy Hicks, Phillip Varner, Jr., Tonya Lamb and Marissa Matthews; 26 great grandchildren; brother Frank Lamb, and his wife, Jackie of Seagrove; sisters: Evelyn Thorton of Trinity, Bonnie Smith and her husband, Earl of Harrisburg, Pa. and Jewel Stetler and her husband, Kenny of Sunrise, In., and canine friend Roscoe.
The family will receive friends Thursday, June 2, 2011 from 6:30-8:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will be held Friday, June 3, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 600 South Main Street, Randleman with Rev. Jeff Harmon and Rev. Jeff Lamb officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
