John Cummings King

John Cummings "J.C." King, Jr., age 72, of Greensboro died Sunday, December 14, 2008 at his home. Mr. King was born October 27, 1936 the son of John Cummings and Edna L. Langley King. Mr. King was born in Lake Wacamaw, NC and as a young boy his family moved to Randolph County. J.C. was an Army National Guard Veteran and attended the Centre Friends Meeting. He was retired from Sears with Thirty plus years of service. He is survived by his wife, Betty Campbell King; sons: Robert D. King of Greensboro and Micheal J. King and his wife Betsy of Greensboro; grandchildren: Micheal, Heather, Nicholas and Anna Bella King all of Greensboro; sisters: Carolyn King Gant of High Point and Linda King Elswick of Tampa, FL; brothers: Bill and Carl King both of Randleman and Ray King of Ramseur.The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 16, 2008 starting at 10:00 AM at the Centre Friends Meeting, 325 NC Hwy. 62 E. in Greensboro. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM at the Centre Friends Meeting with Rev. Russell Parsons officiating.
