John Alfred Hussey

John Alfred Hussey, age 66, of Randleman died Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at High Point Regional Hospital, High Point. Mr. Hussey was born November 27, 1946 the son of Hargeon and Lucy Plummer Hussey. He was a native of Randolph County and served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam war. John drove a milk truck for C & T Durham Trucking and served as a fireman with Level Cross Fire Department from 1976 - 1993 where he served as fire chief for many years. He served on the board of Directors for the fire department from 1993 until present time, most recently as President. John was the administrator of the Randolph County Fraternal Benefit Fund for Fireman Relief and member and supporter of the NRA. John was also a donor to the NC Eye Bank. In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his brother Jerry Hussey. He is survived by his wife of 48 years : Eva Laughlin Hussey of the home; son: Johnny Hussey and his wife Phanya of Lula, Ga.; daughter: Tina Klein and her husband Blake of Randleman; grandchildren: Jeremy, Kaitlin and Gabrielle Hussey. The family will receive friends Friday, August 23, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro, NC. The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
