John Edgar Henderson

John Edgar Henderson, age 81, of Asheboro died on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at his home. Mr. Henderson was born in Horry County, SC on December 9, 1935 to Alfred Joseph and Annie Louise Wallace Henderson. He retired from Caraway Furniture with over 25 years of service in the furniture industry. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, Rufus Mae Henderson and stepson, Jeffrey F. Hill. John enjoyed working in the yard and fishing. He loved all of his dogs, especially Tiny Moe, Spot, Peanut, Angel, and Little Bear and also all of his cats. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Hill Henderson; daughters, Sandy Surratt, Lisa Henderson, Johnnie Elliott, and Patti Willard all of Asheboro; brothers-in-law, Bill Collins and Steve Collins both of Asheboro; sisters-in-law, Frances Carrick and Narcia Lamb both of Asheboro; and niece, Patricia Collins Parrish of Troy. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 from 7:00-9:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 10:00 am at Randolph Memorial Park.
