John Franklin Greene, Jr.

John Franklin Greene, Jr., age 70, of 115 Shiloh Rd., Troy died Monday, November 26, 2007 at FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Hospital, Troy. Mr. Greene was born February 26, 1937 at Montgomery County, NC, the son of the late John Franklin and the late Esther (Vanhoy) Greene. He was a member of Troy Wesleyan Church, a retired employee of Collins & Aikman and a US Army veteran. He is survived by his wife Margaret Thompson Greene of the home; one daughter: Ginger Greene Gillis of Troy; two sons: Johnny Greene and wife Susie of Troy, Terry Greene and wife, Melonie of Troy; 6 grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 pm at Pugh- Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy; other times at the home. The funeral will be Thursday at 3:00 pm at Troy Wesleyan Church, 842 Ophir Ave, Troy with Rev. Toney Parsons and Rev. Roger Rhoads officiating. Burial will be in Stanly Gardens Of Memory, Albemarle.
