John David Allred

John David "Johnny" Allred, age 72, of Franklinville passed away quietly at his home early Saturday, June 18, 2016 surrounded by his family. Johnny was a native of Randolph County and retired from Cranford Iron and Metal where he worked as a truck driver for more than 30 years. He also owned and managed several properties throughout Randolph County. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing with his sons and grandson, Luke. He also loved watching the NASCAR races with his daughter and his late granddaughter, Pam. He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Bristow, his brother, Bobby Allred, his sister, Sheila Bristow Garner and his beloved granddaughter, Pamela Gregory. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rachel Lamb Allred of the home, sons: Tim and wife Louise Allred of Asheboro, Danny Allred of Asheboro; daughters, Janine Allred Dhillon of Randleman, Sharon Allred Register of Archdale; 5 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and his only other living relative, Troy Hill. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 22, 2016 from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, other times at the home of his son, Tim Allred, 1304 Iron Mountain Rd., Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Full Gospel Bible Church of God, 736 W. Main St., Franklinville with Rev. Terry Bachelor officiating.
