Johanna Miller

Johanna Underwood Miller, age 93, of Asheboro died Thursday, December 14, 2017.

Mrs. Miller was born June 13, 1924 in Randolph County to Chris and Maude Underwood .

Johanna, along with her husband George started the Best Year's Fellowship at Neighbors Grove Wesleyan Church where they were members. She was also a former member of the McDonalds Breakfast friends on North Fayetteville Street. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband George R. Miller, son, Joseph Russell Miller, four brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by daughter, Audrey (Charles) McDowell of Asheboro; sons, Bobby (Cindy) Miller of Asheboro, Mike (Jena) Miller of Albemarle; daughter-in-law, Pam Miller of Deep Gap, NC; 7 grandchildren; 1 step-granddaughter; 7 great grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 1:30-2:45 pm at Neighbors Grove Wesleyan Church, 1928 N. Fayetteville St., Asheboro. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM with Pastor Jody Williams and Pastor Wyatt Hoogkamp officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
