Joetta Nixon Moore, age 90, of Asheboro died Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Randolph Health.
Mrs. Moore was born June 8, 1929 in Climax to Thomas and Frances Nixon.
Mrs. Moore was a lifetime member of Grays Chapel United Methodist Church where she taught the Ladies Sunday School class, sang in the choir and was a member of the Methodist Women. She was retired from Pinehurst Textiles after 40 years of service. Mrs. Moore was a superb cook, an excellent seamstress doing mainly alterations. She was a very giving person who loved everyone and was loved by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Moore and brothers, Jack and Robert Nixon.
She is survived by daughter, Rebecca A. Moore of Asheboro; brother, Jerry Nixon and wife Barbara of Greensboro; several nephews, niece and extended family.
The family will receive friends Monday, December 23, 2019 from 11:00-12:45 pm at Gray's Chapel United Methodist Church, 5056 NC Hwy 22 N., Franklinville. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Jacob C. Kyker officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
