Joe Chappell

Joe "J.C." Chappell, age 51, of Sunset Drive, Troy died Sunday, June 20, 2010 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst. J.C. was born June 1, 1959 in Montgomery County, NC, the son of Elisha and Dorothy (Kiger) Chappell. He was a former plumber and enjoyed reading and gardening. He was preceded in death by his father, Elisha Chappell and brother, Tony Chappell. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy (Kiger) Chappell Maynor of Biscoe; two sisters: Marie Mauldin of Biscoe and Deloris Morse and husband, Harold of Mt. Gilead; four brothers: Tommy Chappell and wife, Kay of Troy, Jimmy Chappell of and wife, Barbara of Candor, Roney Chappell and wife, Judith of Troy, Rev. Ricky Chappell and wife, Beatrice of Sanford, several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Monday from 7-9 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2:00 at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy with Rev. Bucky Davis officiating. Burial will be in Lomax Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery, Troy.
