Joan Elizabeth Brower

Joan Elizabeth Brower, age 68, of Asheboro died Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Randolph Hospital. Mrs. Brower was born May 6, 1946 in Hamlet and grew up in Asheboro. She was a 1965 graduate of Asheboro High School where she was crowned homecoming queen and was also a graduate of Asheboro Business College. Mrs. Brower was a member of First E & R United Church of Christ. She was formerly employed as a dental assistant and most recently was employed with Guilford Randolph Psychological Associates. Mrs. Brower was preceded in death by her father, Cliff Bowers. She is survived by her mother, Ruby C. Bowers of Asheboro; son, Scott Brower and his wife Reena Roy of Charlotte; sisters, Linda Faye Stewart and husband Robert of Burlington, Brenda Boggs of Clayton; brothers, Donnie Bowers and wife Susan of Troutman, Mike Bowers and wife Tonya of Asheboro, Mark McFatter and many special friends. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 16, 2015 at 11:00 AM at First E & R United Church of Christ, 221 Cliff Road, Asheboro with Rev. Dale Kennedy officiating.
