Jo Ann Nooe

Jo Ann Blalock Nooe, age 85, of Troy died Sunday, June 30, 2019 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.

Mrs. Nooe was born August 4, 1933 in Montgomery County, the daughter of the late Robert Blalock and the late Jewel Faulkenberry Blalock. She worked for many years at Troy Flower Shop as a floral arranger. Jo Ann was a sweet, loving mother always supportive of her family and known to be a very giving person. When at Troy High School, she was a basketball player. In later years, she loved flower gardening, working crossword puzzles, eating out with friends, and traveling, especially to the beach.

She is survived by one daughter: Greta Nooe of Charlotte, NC and one son: Larry Nooe of Charlotte, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband: Bennett Nooe; sisters: Betty McRae, Carol Parsons, Rose Carlyle, Dorothy Hurley; and brother: Farrell Blalock.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 3, 2019 from 12:30 - 1:45 PM at First Wesleyan Church, 1368 NC Hwy. 134 N, Troy, NC. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Dr. Edward E. Lindsey officiating. Burial will be in First Wesleyan Church Cemetery.
