Jimmy Ray Davis, 67, of Franklinville, died Monday, January 2, 2017 with his family by his side. He was a native of Randolph County. He worked 26 years at Black & Decker, helped his daddy farm and enjoyed riding motor cycles and doing wood working.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Barbara Ruth Davis, infant daughter, Peggy Sue Davis, parents, Lone James Davis, Jr. and Inez Staley Davis and brother, Jack Robert Davis.
He is survived by daughter, Penny Lou Davis of the home, grandson, A. J. Davis of the home,
daughters, Jacquelyn Davis McGuire of Franklinville, Tammy Davis Alderman of Asheboro, Calvin and Belinda Davis Hicks of Franklinville. His pride and joy grandchildren, Heather Hicks, Tabitha Alderman, Dee Dee McGuire, Samantha Rae McGuire, Jody McGuire and Jonny McGuire. His only great grandson, Landon James "LJ" Bullins, sister, Joanna Henry of Franklinville and his little dog "Baby Bear".
The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 5, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Whites Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery, 2852 Whites Memorial Road, Franklinville with Rev. Jeff Joyce and Rev. Pete Lamb officiating.
