Jessie Massey

Jessie Routh Massey, age 93, of 217 New Salem Rd., Randleman died Monday, January 18, 2010 at Clapp's Nursing Center, Inc., Pleasant Garden. Mrs. Massey was a native of Randolph County and a member of First Baptist Church since 1947. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and sister. Mrs. Massey is preceded in death by her son, Patrick Massey. She is survived by her husband: Phelton Massey, of the home; daughter: Jill Massey Smith of Batesburg, SC; grandchildren, Lisa A. Massey; Shannon F. Senterfeit; David H. Massey; and Kelli J. Phillips; great grandchildren, Jessica Abney; Jordan Abney; Allison Phillips; and Kaydence Swaney; great great grandchildren, Grayson Craps and Colton Abney. sisters: Kate Hollingsworth and Bobby Lineberry both of Randleman; Helen Campbell of Sophia, and Gladys Brown of Franklinville; brothers: Thomas Routh of Randleman, Milton "Mit" Routh of Franklinville, and Clinton "Spud" Routh of Baltimore, MD. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 20, 2010 from 6 to 8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC and other times at her home. The funeral will be held Thursday, January 21, 2010 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church, 100 North Main Street, Randleman with Pastor Chris Heppding and Rev. Kenneth Reaves officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
