Jessie Auman

Jessie Routh Auman, age 87, of Asheboro passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation in Asheboro. Mrs. Auman was born in Randolph County on November 21, 1928 to Alvah Omer and Maie Williams Routh. She was retired from General Electric after 19 years of service and was a member of Central United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Jessie was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Auman, daughter Sharon Raines, and siblings Maxine Keck, Herman Routh, Magdalene Fields, and Brenda Heilig. She is survived by her son, Jerry Raines and wife Karen of Asheboro; grandchildren, Kerri Rynearson, Hannah Elise Raines, Lee Cannon Raines; brother, Russell Omer Routh and wife Louise of Liberty; sister, Joann Barker and husband Charles of Climax; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 12, 2016 from 10:00-11:00 am at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Saturday at 11:00 am at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Terry L. Matthews officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
