Jessie Monroe Allred, age 84, of Franklinville died Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at his home.
Mr. Allred was born May 20, 1932 the son of Gurnie and Pauline Lucy Rich Allred
Jessie was a native of Randolph County and a former sawmill operator. He retired from Procter and Gamble in Greensboro. Jessie was a member of Bible Holiness Church where he was awarded with 60 years of service. In addition to his parents, Jessie is preceded in death by his sisters, Hazel Bates and Barbara Wood.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years: Helen Carter Allred; daughters: Sara Bumby (Harold) of High Point, Rose Mary Rose (Doug) of Fiji Island and Ruth Ann Huffman (Ed) of Thomasville; son: Gurney Allred (Carol) of Franklinville; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sisters: Betty Lou Hillard of Randleman, and Katherine Johnson (Tim) of Asheboro.
The family will receive friends Sunday, April 2, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will be held Monday, April 3, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 600 South Main Street, Randleman with Rev. George Gee officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
