Jesse Wayman Shelton, age 58, of 2481 Wildwood Lane, Asheboro died Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 5:00 pm at Walter's Grove Baptist Church, 2610 Cid Rd., Lexington, NC with Dr. Jeremy Simpson officiating. Services will be held on Monday, December 3, 2007 at 2:00 pm at the Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church with burial following in the Baisden Family Cemetery, Rt. 37, Wayne, WV. Mr. Shelton was a native of Webster Springs, WV and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was employed with Oliver Rubber Company in Asheboro and was retired from Central Gas Company of Asheboro. He was a member of Walter's Grove Baptist Church in Lexington. He is survived by his wife, Deanna Baisden Shelton, daughters, Brandy Shelton Long of Wadsworth, OH, Teresa Isenhart of Asheboro, NC; sons, Rev. Roy Lee Isenhart and his wife Susie of Lexington, NC; Stan Lee Shelton of Asheboro, NC, Dan Wayman Shelton of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Tanner Isenhart; Travis Long; Sylvia Grace Isenhart; special grandchildren, Curtis Combs; Shawn Combs; Dawson Davis; Fallon Davis; sister, Susie Carpenter of Webster Springs, WV; brothers, Michael Shelton of Winter Springs, FL; Pat Shelton of Winter Springs, FL. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 1, 2007 from 3-5 pm at Walters Grove Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to the Shining Light School for Boys, 2620 Cid Rd., Lexington, NC 27292.
