Jesse Quinton "Buck" Farlow, QMCS, USN retired, age 93, of Greensboro died Sunday, June 28, 2015 at North Pointe of Archdale. Mr. Farlow was born January 29, 1922 in Greensboro, the son of Joseph and Sally Bean Farlow and was retired from the US Navy after 27 years of service. He was a veteran of WWII, the Korean War, and Vietnam. He was a York rite Masonic member of Lienster Lodge #115, Columbo, Sri Lanka and Guilford Lodge #656. He was a member of the Eastern Star, Greensboro #14 and member of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, Gate City #2. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Cleo Farlow and Frances McGuire. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Louise Matthews Farlow; Daughters: Gwen Farlow of Randleman, NC and Lynda & her husband, Larry Bare of Elizabethton, TN; Grandchildren, Deanise and her husband, Wayne Arrowood of Myrtle Beach, SC and Dean and his wife, Ann Bare of Gray, TN; Six Great Grandchildren, Two Great Great Grandchildren, Several Nieces and Nephews, and his canine companion, Sally. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 1, 2015 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 2, 2015 at St. Paul Cemetery, 401 High Point Street, Randleman, with Bill Patterson officiating along with Military and Masonic rites. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the North Pointe of Archdale staff for their compassionate care that was offered to them. In leiu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community Home Care & Hospice, 533 S. Fayetteville St., Asheboro, NC 27203 or charity of your choice.
