Jess Darrell Strickland

Jess Darrell Strickland, age 83, of 3483 New Hope Church Rd., Asheboro died Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Mr. Strickland was a native of West Virginia, was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict, and was retired from Goodyear in Akron, Ohio after 35 years of service. He is survived by four daughters: Lou Ann Skidmore of Tallmadge, OH, Rebel Chaney of Asheboro, NC, Chris Strickland Estes of Asheboro, NC, Peggy Meadows of Suffield, OH; three sons: Darrell "Butch" Strickland of Grand Junction, CO, David Hyden of Lake Whales, FL, Darrell Ray Osborne of Dover, OH; 16 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
