Jerry Lee Wilson, age 53, of Asheboro died Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Randolph Hospital.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 3, 2011 at 3:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Dwight Ayers officiating.
Jerry was in law enforcement for 30 years. He was the retired Chief of Police in Holden Beach, NC and was currently employed as a Deputy with the Randolph County Sheriff's Office. He was preceded in death by his brother Tony Wilson. Jerry was a beloved husband, father, brother, and son.
He is survived by his wife, Heidi Colling Wilson; daughter, Candie Timm and her husband Miles; son, Jeremy Wilson; daughter, Whitney Wilson; granddaughter, Lily Timm; parents, Jesse and Patsy Wilson of Asheboro, NC; sisters, Kathy Grant of Asheboro, NC, Penny Averitt and her husband Darrell of Asheboro, NC, Crystal Barnhill and her husband Scott of Trinity, NC; brother, Kenneth Wilson and his wife Tammy of Trinity, NC; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Nikolaus and Franziska Colling of Germany; brothers-in-law, Erwin Colling and his wife Rosa, Gunter Colling and his wife Mary all of Germany; nieces and nephews, Claudia, Marcell, Caroline and Raphael Colling all of Germany.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 3, 2011 from 1:30-2:45 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
