Jerry Michael Toomes

Jerry Michael "Jock" Toomes, age 63, of Star passed away at his home Monday, April 15, 2019.

Jock was born September 7, 1955 the son of George and Rebecca ToomesJock was a native of Rockingham County He worked with Custom Steel Fabricators for 20 years and was a mini truck stock driver for Caraway Speedway. Jock enjoyed spending time with his large family, hunting and fishing. He was a beloved father, husband, brother, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather. In addition to his parents, Jock is preceded in death by his brother, Rusty Toomes, sister, Paula Butts, grandson, Coby and sister-in-law, Lesa Toomes.

Jock is survived by his wife, Teresa Chriscoe Toomes of Randleman; daughters, Beth Cox (Dustin) of Denton and Jennifer Rivera (Juan) of Bolivia; son Michael Toomes of Randleman; grandchildren: Allie, Jake, Chandler, Makayla, and Jayden; great grandson, Eli; brother, Tim Toomes of Archdale; sisters, Ann Toomes of Wilmington and Rene Toomes of Randleman; many nieces and nephews and his partner in crime Sassy the dog.

The family will receive friends Friday, April 19, 2019 from 2:00-3:30 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will follow at 3:30 in the chapel with Rev. Terry Whitaker officiating.
