Jerry "Mike" Scott

Jerry "Mike" Scott, age 65, of Stoney Fork Church Rd, Mt. Gilead died Saturday, October 17, 2015 at his home. Mike was born October 26, 1949 in Montgomery County, the son of Ervin and Helen Presnell Scott. Mike was a loving, giving man who enjoyed fishing and gardening. He attended MC-3 Church and was a fixer in the textile industry In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Pete, George, Ricky, Johnny and Charles Scott. He is survived by his children: Jerry M Scott, Jr. and wife Tracy of Troy, Michelle "Cissy" Camlin and husband Danny of Florence, SC, Jeff Scott and wife Stephanie of Troy, Gary Scott and wife Beverly of Mt. Gilead, Cindy Davenport and husband Chris of Albemarle, Chasity Grant and husband Elias of Wadesboro and T J Scott and fiancé Brenda Tomlinson of the home; his siblings: Peggy Harden of Troy, Frankie Scott of Troy, Richard Scott of Mt. Gilead, and Fran Dunn of Eleazer; 17 grandchildren. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 20, 2015 from 1:00 pm – 1:45 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 N Main St., Troy; other times at the home of Jed and Tracy Scott. Funeral services will immediately follow visitation with Rev. Brantley Moore officiating. Burial will be in the Leach Family Cemetery, Star, NC. Pugh-Troy Funeral Home is serving the Scott Family.
