Jeff Hames

Donald Jefferson "Jeff" Hames, age 55, of 943 Amity Road, Asheboro died Sunday, August 22, 2010 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Jeff was a native of Randolph County. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and attended Hines Chapel Church of Greensboro. A 1973 graduate of Asheboro High Scholl he was an outside salesman for several building supply companies for 33 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Jefferson Hames, and grandson Danny Allen McDowell. He is survived by two daughters: Angela Lee Burkholder and Sherri Hames both of Asheboro, mother: Donsy Ingold Hames of Asheboro, one brother: Robert "Steve" Hames of Asheboro, NC, Grandchildren: Jacob and Caleb Burkholder, Cheyenne, Lily and Alexis McDowell all of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends Monday, August 23rd from 6 to 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and at other times at the home of his mother, Donsy Hames, 727 William Avenue, Asheboro. The funeral will be Tuesday, August 24th at 2:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy R. Kidd Sr. and Dr. Bruce Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
