Jeannie Kathryn Lester-Russell

Jeannie Kathryn Lester-Russell, age 55, of Randleman died Friday, July 1, 2011 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Ms. Lester-Russell was born June 27, 1956 in Oak Hill, WV the daughter of Edward Hardie Lester and Grace Audrey Williams Lester. Jeannie worked as a Disability Advocate in the Joy A. Shabazz Center for Independent Living in Greensboro. A member of the Foster Street Wesleyan Church she was a person who, once you met her, made a lasting impression on your life. She is survived by one sister: Ruth Spry of Greensboro, NC, one brother: Vernon Lester of Denton, NC, and nephew, Bill Carey of the home. Memorial services will be Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at 7:00 PM at Foster Street Wesleyan Church, 214 Foster St., Asheboro with Pastor Charles Moses officiating. Memorials may be made to Joy A.
