Jeanette Maxine Hughes

Jeanette Maxine Pierce Hughes, age 68, of Asheboro died Friday, May 20, 2016 at her daughter's home. Mrs. Hughes was born February 27, 1948 in Guilford County to Thomas Allen and Charlotte Maxine Johnson Pierce. She was a 1966 graduate of Asheboro High School. Mrs. Hughes was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and retired from Bossong Hosiery. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Johnny Hughes; daughter, Annette Carter and husband Jimmy of Asheboro; sons, Dean Hughes and wife Phyllis of Asheboro, Richard Hughes and fiancé Valarie of Asheboro; grandchildren, Stephanie Pallas, T. J. Pritchard and wife Susan, Sabrina Hughes USN, Tiffany Tilley, Haley Hughes; great grandchildren, Shadoe Liner, Riley and Levi Newsome, Aiden Weaver, Remington young, Henleigh Lowe, Adalynn and Eli Pritchard; sisters, Judy Minto and husband John of Asheboro, Rhonda Saunders of Asheboro; brother, Tommy Pierce and wife Janie of Level Cross. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 25, 2016 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Stines and Brian Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
