Jean Vestal

Carolyn Jean Vestal, age 66, of Academy St., Asheboro died Sunday, June 21, 2009 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro. Jean was born September 25, 1942 the daughter of Isreal Quaratis and Ethel Ester Norman Vestal. Jean was a native of Yadkin County and a member of Long Town Holiness Church of Yadkinville. While in Asheboro, she attended First Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by: sister-Irene Hooker (Stokes Co.); brother-Arthur Vestal (Yadkinville); brother-Leonard Vestal (Yadkinville); step-father-Russell Money (Hamptonville). She is survived by three sisters: Patty Payne of Asheboro, NC; Shirley Durham of Thomasville, NC; Ruby Cook of Mocksville, NC; one brother: Howard Vestal of Hamptonville, NC; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; cousins and friends.Jean will lie in state at Gentry Family Funeral Service, 5108 US Hwy 601 Yadkinville, NC on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. until service time. The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 12:00-1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. J. P. Sizemore officiating.
