Jean Strider

Barbara Jean Frye Strider, age 65, of 6778 Pisgah Covered Bridge Rd., Asheboro died Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Winston- Salem. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, 7811 Pisgah Covered Bridge Rd., Asheboro with Rev. Garland Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Strider was a native of Randolph County and a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, where she was the former treasurer and organist. She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Cisero Frye and her infant son, Duane Harold Strider. Jean loved making people happy with her cooking and sewing. She is survived by her husband, Harold Strider; daughter, Elizabeth Strider Nance and her husband Clinton Nance II of Asheboro, NC; granddaughters, Magan Nance of Asheboro, NC; Jessica N. McDonald and her husband Rodney McDonald of Asheboro, NC; great grandson, Blake Allen McDonald of Asheboro, NC; mother, Betty Mae Thompson Frye of Asheboro, NC; and sister, Ann Wooten and her husband Ed Wooten of Gastonia, NC. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 5, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro, NC. Memorials may be made to Mt.
