Jean Hamilton Ritter

Jean Hamilton Ritter, age 83, of 1509 NC Hwy 109N, Troy died Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Autumn Care Nursing & Rehabilitation, Biscoe. Jean was born December 2, 1931 in Montgomery County, NC, the daughter of Crola and Flora Morris Hamilton. She was a member of Mercy Chapel Church of God and a former hosiery mill employee. In addition to her parents, Jean is preceded in death by siblings: Elgie Birckhead, Pauline Hamilton, Jimmy Hamilton and Larry Hamilton. She is survived by one daughter: Irma Jean Reese (Clarence) of Troy; one son: Roger Ritter (Linda) of Asheboro; three grandchildren: Gloria Atkins, Dr. and Mrs. Adam Kendall and Crystal Lambeth (Chad); great-grandchildren: Courtney and Garrett Atkins, Rachel, Caroline, Nathan, Abigail and Josiah Kendall, Cheyenne, Kendall, Rebecca, Hannah and Braxton Lambeth; three sisters: Clarice Saunders of Virginia Beach, VA, Shirley Kellis (Billy Joe) and Loretta Morris (Bobby), both of Troy; one brother: Michael Thomas Hamilton of Troy. The funeral will be Saturday, February 21,2015 at 2:00 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy with Rev. Lee Carter and Billy Ingle officiating. Burial will be in Southside Cemetery, Troy. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
