Jean Nance

Jean Stafford Nance, age 80, formerly of 373 Sherwood Oaks Dr., Asheboro died Friday, July 13, 2012 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. Mrs. Nance was born February 14, 1932 the daughter of Jesse Lee and Bessie Marie Rayhill Stafford. Jean was a native of Albemarle, NC and a retired inspector from Eveready Battery of Asheboro. Jean was a graduate of Asheboro High School, Class of 1950, and was very involved with reunions and other activities related to her class. She had been an active member at Oakhurst Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and worked in the Youth Department for many years. She is preceded in death by her father. She is survived by: daughter and her husband: Jean Marie and Ronnie Burgess of Ramseur, NC; son and his wife: Mike and Denise Nance of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren: Hayley Burgess of Lumberton, NC; Melinda Burgess of Ramseur, NC; and her mother: Bessie Marie Stafford of Asheboro. The Graveside Service will be Monday, July 16, 2012 at 11:00 AM in Oaklawn Cemetery with Dr. Richard Crider officiating. No formal visitation is planned.
