Jean Caudle Locklear

Jean Caudle Locklear, age 65, of 900 Lindsey Dr., Troy died Sunday, May 4, 2008 at FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Hospital, Troy. Mrs. Locklear was born March 15, 1943 at Wentworth, NC, the daughter of the late James Norman and the late Ruby G. (Meeks) Caudle. She was a former employee of Capel Rug Mill with 20 years of service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Dean Locklear, Sr., daughter, Shirley Jean Locklear and a sister, Patricia "Blondie" Simmons. She is survived by one daughter: Barbara A. Locklear of Robbins; one son: Harold D. Locklear, Jr. of Jacksonville; two brothers: Ronald "Buddy" Caudle of Reidsville and James N. Caudle of Greensboro; granddaughter, Summer Lynette Thompson The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Troy; other times at the home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 3:30 pm at Mercy Chapel, 398 Shiloh Rd, Troy with Rev. Lee Carter officiating. Burial will be in Southside Cemetery, Troy.
