Nira Jean Davis Bryant, age 83, of Sophia went to be the Lord Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro.
Jean retired from AT&T/Lucent Technologies of Greensboro with 36 years of service, A graduate of High Point High School, she attended Jones Business College of High Point. She was a member of South Plainfield Friends Meeting of Sophia, and enjoyed skating, horseback riding, socializing with her many friends, and she enjoyed helping her family and friends.
She is survived by two daughters: Terri Layne Bryant Lamb of Sophia, NC and Tammy Elizabeth Bryant Bodenhamer of Sophia, NC, and one son: Anthony Ray Bryant and his wife Julianne Marie of Thailand,grandchildren, Callie Jean Bodenhamer, Cara Cassata and her husband, Michael Grant, Michelle Ramsey and Mitchel Landrum both of Atlanta, Ga.; great granddaughters, Madyson Cassata and Adrina Cassata; and granddaughter, Laura Breanne Lamb; great grandsons, Atlas Levi Dawson and Aiden Ray Lamb.
She was predeceased by her parents Kalvin Grey Davis and Nancy McBride Davis, husband, Ray Allen Bryant, son-in-law, Jerry Dale Bodenhamer, brother, Calvin Dalton Davis, and sister, Mary Juanita Davis,
The family will receive friends Monday, February 20, 2017 from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2:00 at South Plainfield Friends Meeting, 4033 Plainfield Road, Sophia, NC with Rev. Hugh C. Spaulding and Rev. Ernest Beck officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
