James Carl "JC" Ritch, Jr. age 84, of Asheboro died Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at his home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Fayetteville Street Baptist Church, 901 North Fayetteville Street, Asheboro with Dr. Bruce Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
Mr. Ritch was born in Randolph County on December 14, 1929 to Carl and Maggie Beane Ritch. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. JC was retired from Burlington Industries after 30 years of service and was a member of Fayetteville Street Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, JC was preceded in death by his brothers, Clifford, Bobby, and Paul Ritch and sisters Edith Ritch Hill and Annie Ruth Ritch Hoover. JC was a loving father and grandfather and was an avid golfer.
He is survived by his wife, Margie Lawson Ritch; son, Michael Ritch and his wife Lisa of Asheboro; granddaughters, Megan Ritch of Colorado, Manda Ritch Cox and her husband Aaron of Morrisville, Lauren Ritch of Asheville, and Sarabeth Ritch of Carrboro; brother, Earl Ritch and his wife Jeanette of Asheboro; and sister, Elgie Ritch James of Asheboro.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 14, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro.
