Janna Vee Coble Correll, age 84, of Asheboro died Friday, January 24, 2014 at her home.
Mrs. Correll was born in Randolph County on July 9, 1929 to William Dove Coble, Sr. and Alta Hackett Coble. Janna Vee retired from the textile industry after 50 years of service and was a member of Grays Chapel United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Janna Vee was preceded in death by her sister Opal Cox and brother Curtis Coble. Janna Vee was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and a selfless caregiver to her husband. She enjoyed doing crafts, sewing, birdwatching, and flower gardening.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Correll; daughters, Lynn Rucinski and her husband Ed of Climax, Jan Correll and her husband Shayne Leathers of Cary; grandchildren, Lori Baldwin and her husband Jeb of Climax, Mark Rucinski and his wife Meredith of High Point, Jeffrey Rucinski and his girlfriend Jennifer Thornton of Climax; great granddaughter, Melanie Baldwin of Climax; and brother, Dove Coble, Jr. and his wife Edith of Climax.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 27, 2014 from 12:30-1:45 PM at Grays Chapel United Methodist Church, 5056 NC Hwy 22 North, Franklinville. Funeral services will follow on Monday at 2:00 PM at Grays Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Nathan Snider and Rev. Alanda Harris officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O. Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204-0009 or plant arrangements.
