Janie Lee Poole

Janie Lee Poole, age 81, of Asheboro died Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Randolph Hospice House. Mrs. Poole was born July 28, 1933 to Charlie and Fannie Lee. She attended West Bend United Methodist Church, retired from Goodyear and later was the biscuit maker for TJ's Express. Mrs. Poole made friends everywhere she went. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Poole was preceded in death by her husband, Linley Poole, grandson, Matthew Poole and eight siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Debra Hill and husband Harold of Asheboro; son, Barry Poole and wife Pam of Asheboro; grandchildren, Derrick Hill of Asheboro, Amanda Jones of Asheboro, Leah Poole of Asheboro; great grandchildren, Clay, Regan, Averie, Hadlee and Karsyn. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 4, 2014 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at West Bend United Methodist Church, 1080 Albemarle Road, Asheboro. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Drew McIntyre officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff of Randolph Hospice House for the care given to Mrs. Poole during her time there.
