Janie Sue Williams Freeman, age 87, of Meadowbrook Rd., Asheboro died Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home, Asheboro.
A graveside service will be held Friday, June 25, 2010 at 12:30 pm at Big Oak Christian Church Cemetery in Eagle Springs with Rev. Kevin Thompson and Roger L. Mabe, Jr. officiating.
Mrs. Freeman was born and raised in Bulloch County, Georgia and was a homemaker. She was a dedicated volunteer with Randolph County Senior Adults for many years and was preceded in death by her husband, M. P. "Red" Freeman.
She is survived by her children, Phil Freeman and wife Lurline of Palm Harbor, FL, Brenda Deese and husband Owen of Asheboro, Susan Myers of Asheboro, Patty Cooper and husband Jim of Asheboro, Mike Freeman and wife Karen of Memphis, TN; grandchildren, Shawn Mabe, Jerry Matthew Myers, Mark, Laurie and Matthew Freeman, Zack and Jake Freeman; great grandchildren, Brooke Dalton, Julia Freeman and Jaxon Mabe; sister, Ida McKnight of Atlanta, GA
The family will receive friends Friday, June 25, 2010 from 10:00-11:30 am at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
