Janice Brookshire Vuncannon

Janice Brookshire Vuncannon, age 72, of 565 Cedar Creek Rd, Biscoe died Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst. Mrs. Vuncannon was born July 3, 1937 in Montgomery County, NC, the daughter of Joseph Andrews and Jessie Ann (Brewer) Brookshire. She was a member of Family Worship Ministries and a retired employee of Klaussner Furniture Industries. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Taft "Bill" Vuncannon and son, Billy Joe Vuncannon. She is survived by two daughters: Betty V. Brown of Biscoe, Joyce V. Talbert of Troy: one son: Calvin Vuncannon of Robbins; one sister: Edith East of Pekin; two brothers: Bill Brookshire of Ellerbe, Rush Brookshire of Pekin; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy; other times at the home. The funeral will be Friday at 11:00 am at Family Worship Ministries, 401 Troy Candor Rd, Troy with Rev. Harold Pope officiating. Burial will be in Long Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Candor.
