Janice Sink Dawkins

Janice Sink Dawkins was born to Richard and Mary Marie Campbell Sink on June 14, 1957 in Guilford County where she was raised by her grandparents Fred and Mary Lee Burke Campbell, affectionally known as Granny Campbell.  Janice received her angel wings Friday, March 30, 2018.

She was a graduate of GTCC and soon after graduation, married the love of her life and Ramseur Policeman: Kenneth Ray Dawkins. They were married for 28 years before his death in December of 2005.  They had one daughter, Katie Lee Dawkins.  Janice worked in Floral Design and jewelry sales. She looked forward to her Beach vacations as this was one of her many passions. She also enjoyed playing the card game MahJong, crocheting, western movies and her sewing Club. Her greatest passion was the Lord.  Janice was a longtime member of Worthville Baptist Church; she accepted people just as they were and had so much love in her heart for all.

One of the highlights of her life, were her grandchildren: Fallon and Cash to whom she was an exceptional grandmother.  Janice spent her last day surrounded by her many friends and loved ones; she will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents, grandparents, her brother: Ricky Sink; and her sister-in-law: Ginger Dawkins.

Janice is survived by her daughter: Katie Dawkins White and son-in-law Dean White of Asheboro; two grandchildren, Fallon and Cash White; sisters: Beth Wilkes and husband Wayne, Joy Hughes, Chin Song; brother-in-law: Rev. Junior Dawkins; niece: Lori Williams; nephew: Alan Williams; great-niece: Morgan Williams; step mother: Margaret Sink; step sisters: Lynn, Sandy, and Dawn; and a host of extended family and friends. 

The family will receive friends Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 6-8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro and other times at the home of her daughter. The Funeral Service will be held Sunday, April 8, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Worthville Baptist Church, 1053 Castle Rock Rd., Randleman with Rev. Junior Dawkins and Rev. Buddy Maness officiating.
