Janet Lucas Barnes

Janet Lucas Barnes, age 67, of 310 Ashwood Rd., Robbins went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Brown's Chapel Christian Church, 608 Brown's Chapel Church Rd., Robbins with Rev. George Harper officiating. Burial will follow in the Suggs Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Barnes was a native of Randolph County and was formerly employed as a Caregiver. Janet was of the Holiness faith and was preceded in death by her son, Jesse Wayne Barnes. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Barnes of High Falls, NC; son, Jimmy Ray Barnes of Seagrove, NC; grandchildren, Nicole Hawk of Bluefield, WV, Brandy Zorres of High Falls, NC, and Matthew Cooper; 5 great grandchildren; brothers, Terry Lucas of Pisgah, NC, and Ricky Lucas of Hampstead, NC. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 15, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
