Jane Vuncannon Wright

Sylvia Jane Vuncannon Wright, age 79, of Asheboro passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Randolph Hospice House.

Mrs. Wright was born in Asheboro on July 14, 1940 to James Harold and Viola Tedder Vuncannon. She was a lifetime member of Asheboro Friends Meeting. Jane was a member of the Randolph Amateur Radio Club and the American Legion Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Wright and brother, Jim Vuncannon. Jane loved to read and shop, and she especially loved her dogs.

She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Campbell Nelms and husband David of Angier and Jennifer Campbell of Raleigh; son, James Campbell and wife Sabrina of Asheboro; grandchildren, Ryan Nelms and wife Allison and Christina Jones and husband Eric; great grandchildren, Dylan Jones, Brock Nelms and Baylee Nelms; and nephew, Jim Vuncannon, Jr. and wife Leslie of Aberdeen, MD.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 28, 2019 from 11:00 am-12 noon at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Saturday at 12 noon at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Associate Pastor Rick Davis officiating. Burial will be held in Randolph Memorial Park.
