James Edwin Williams, Jr.

James Edwin Williams, Jr., age 69, of 3721 Old Liberty Rd., Franklinville died Monday, September 24, 2012 at GrayBrier Nursing And Retirement Center in Archdale. The family will receive friends Monday, October 1, 2012 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Grays Chapel United Methodist Church, 5056 N.C. Hwy 22 North, Franklinville, NC. Funeral services will follow on Monday at 2:00 pm at Grays Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Charles White and Rev. Nathan Snider officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Williams was a native of Harnett County, NC, was a 1962 graduate of Harnett High School, and was an Eagle Scout in Troop #766 which was sponsored by the Dunn Rotary Club. James was a retired Minister and was a member of the National Guard. He was preceded in death by his sister Mary Routh Knowles, and brother Lynwood Ashley Williams. He is survived by his wife, Gloria J. Williams, daughters, Kimberly Dawn Houchens of Tampa, FL, Christa Marie Robinette of West Palm Beach, FL, Patricia Joyce Lambert of Franklinville, NC; son, James "Jamie" E. Williams, III of Broadway, VA; 13 grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth Williams of Albemarle, NC, Mark Williams of Palm Beach, FL; and sister, Linda W. Ennis of Smithfield, NC.
