James "Sonny" Charles Pugh

James Charles "Sonny" Pugh, age 81, of Asheboro died Monday, April 11, 2016 at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation. Mr. Pugh was born July 8, 1934 in Asheboro to James and Sarah Pugh. He was a graduate of Asheboro High School. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pugh was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Neal Pugh. He is survived by his sisters, Treva Routh of Goldsboro, Irene P. Kirkman and husband Bruce of Asheboro, Lois P. Edwards and husband Carlie of Asheboro; nephews, Michael Kirkman and wife Lucy of Randleman, Mark Kirkman and wife Helen of Asheboro; niece, Kim Dean and husband Dwayne of Pikesville and several other nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus. North, Asheboro with Rev. Mark Hall officiating. Memorials may be made to a charity of donor's choice. Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro is serving the family.
