James Allen Scott

James Allen Scott, age 90, of 321 Maple Ave., Asheboro died Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Mr. Scott was a native of Guilford County but spent most of his life in Hampton Rhodes, VA. He was an Army veteran of WWII and was a retired crane operator. Mr. Scott enjoyed fishing and auto racing. He is survived by brother, Horace Wayne Scott and his wife Jean of Asheboro; nieces, Betty Scott Derr of Asheboro, Beth Scott of Asheboro; great nieces, Shelly Scott Cook of Asheboro, Stacy Scott of Asheboro; great great niece, MacKenzie Cook of Asheboro; great great nephew, Jackson Cook of Asheboro. No services are planned at this time. The family would like to express their gratitude to Gwen and Charles Nelson for the special care they shown to James.
