James Worth Richardson, age 97, of Randleman died Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro.
Mr. Richardson was born December 28, 1920 the son of William and Maude Ellington Richardson. James was a native of Randolph County and served in the US Army/Air Force during WWII. He retired from Commonwealth in Randleman with 45 years of service. James was a member of First Wesleyan Church in Randleman and was always willing to help his church family and friends. He enjoyed wood working, especially making picture frames.
He is survived by his nephew, Robert Richardson (Rea Dawn)of Asheboro; nieces, Gloria Yarbrough of Severn, MD., Sandra Richardson of Archdale, and Terri Garner (Gary) of Asheboro; 8 great nephews and nieces; 13 great great nephews and nieces.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 11, 2018 from 10:00-10:45 AM at First Wesleyan Church, 125 Tabernacle St., Randleman, NC. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am with Rev. Don Hurlburt officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro with the Randolph County Honor Guard providing military rites.
