James Harlan Moody

James Harlan Moody, age 73, of Ramseur died Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. Mr. Moody was born February 19, 1940 in Randolph County to Delano and Margaret Victors Moody. He was a retired carpenter and a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Level Cross. In addition to his parents, Mr. Moody was preceded in death by sisters, Patsy Jarrell and Peggy Burrow. He is survived by daughter, Teresa Gibbs and husband Thomas of Randleman; sons, Tony Moody of Ramseur, Todd Moody of Randleman; grandchildren, Alex Thurston, Matthew Walters, Kellie McCartney and husband Russell; brothers, Paul Moody of Fayetteville, Charles Moody and wife Judy of Sophia; sisters, Nancy Cox of Asheboro, Dorothy Wright of Thomasville, Betty Jo Burrow of TN; companion, Sylvia Blake of Randleman. The family would like to thank Frances Oney of North Fort Myers, FL for the care given to James during his last weeks. The family will receive friends Friday, November 22, 2013 from 12:30-1:30pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro.
