James Lee McCarty

James Lee McCarty, age 69, died Monday, April 3, 2017 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro. Mr. McCarty was born May 21, 1947 at Falls Church, VA the son of the late Francis C. and Virginia M. McCarty. James is preceded in death by his wife Phyllis, sisters: Susie Burke and Leah McCarty, brothers: Joe McCarty, Dennis McCarty, and Bobby McCarty. Mr. McCarty liked to fish, hunt, ride motorcycles, and spend time with his dogs. He had a huge heart and opened his home to numerous people over the years. He is survived by sons: James McCarty, Jr. and his wife Christine of Front Royal, VA, Troy McCarty and his wife Angel of Summerfield, William McCarty of Asheboro, Cody McCarty of Pleasant Garden and Montana McCarty of Pleasant Garden, daughters: Kelly Myers of Thomasville and Brianna McCarty of Pleasant Garden. Sisters: Linda of Bull Run, VA, Jenny Broughman of Covington, VA, and Roxanne McCarty of Manassas, VA, brothers: Tommy McCarty of Cary, NC, Johnny McCarty of Madison, NC, Jeff McCarty of Thornburg, VA, and Chipper McCarty, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday, April 7, 2017 from 1:00 - 2:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. A Graveside service will be held following the visitation at 3:00 PM at Country Holiness Cemetery, Worthville Rd., Randleman. Memorials may be made to the V. A.
